Deck Your Halls With the Help of These Local Retailers

It’s time to deck the halls and what better way to feel festive — and do some good — than by shopping locally for your Christmas decor. The tradition of decorating starting in Germany with Christmas trees adorned with natural items like fresh oranges, candles, nuts and berries. Over the years, trends have ranged from metallic garland and tinsel to woodland themed ornaments. This year, there seems to be a return to vintage classics like colored lights, as well as a surge in the popularity of flocked trees and non-traditional color schemes, particularly blues. In addition to trees, more people are returning to fresh flowers, garland and trees which are biodegradable and renewable.

As we round out 2020, the motto truly seems to be anything goes—decorate when you like, how you like, with what you like. Above all else, now is definitely the time to treat yourself to some new, fun decor for this holiday season. No matter your decorating strategy, there is something for everyone within the county lines, whether you prefer fresh, pine-scented trees and garland or classic keepsakes. Whether you’re shopping at local markets or in-store, check out these local vendors for all of your decorating needs.
